The Plant Disease Diagnostic clinic (PDDC) is a sub-project of establishing a specialized plant pathology laboratory at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University for rapid isolation and identification of fungal, bacterial, viral and nematode pathogens causing different crop and plant diseases by using molecular techniques, biochemical methods including ELISA tests. The Clinic is a concern of public service oriented academic program and designed as a contributory participant components of issues of food security, environment, community health, and strengthening quality education of tertiary level. The development of website in the Department of Plant Pathology will provide access to the global research network and allow quick dissemination of technology to the researchers, agricultural extension workers and farmers.
